You know, I was wondering if the Vanos cams couldn't be used in an s14? I need to look it up, but, I would think the cams could be cut short and would fit in the head ok. I'm not sure how they are actuated, but suspect its mechanical, since there's no way to electrically actuate the cams. I don't know what the bore centers are on the various Vanos-engined cars, but there might well be a match from one of the sixes. I think its at least worth exploring, since it would really change the torque curve, boosting both low and high ends. Anyone got any thoughts?
