It appears based on your 911, that it is an H23 or " H 2.3 ",this IS the car/WAS the car on e-bay.
Since it is based on a 323i car as fact... what is it's power output?
Owner of car, claims it could hang with his M-Coupe on the track?! Is it really only 170 HP??
Would I have a fun time screwing with this one, or would not?? Last thing I would want, is to have sold a nice M3 I dumped money into to ease me expenditures, only to buy this and dump money into it....(ie: H23, wrong one?)
Back in 1983 (first year) and until 1985, the car was called an H23 (23 being 2.3 liter) it evolved in an H26 (2.3 stroke and 325i bore) and to H27 (diesel stroke). It only began to be named H3 with the e36 model.
If the one you are refeering is from ebay, It is at best an H23. It is still a good car, but had a maximum of 170HP in Hartge form but is pretty light. I have such a car and it doesn't give up much to an e30 M3 as it weights only 2400 for its 170 HP.
The engine being almost 20 year old now, check if it is still the Harthe engine. Just a camcover will not make it a Hartge motor...
