As for the amp being wired correctly , it is... The problem occurs even if I don't turn on the radio the whole day.

I do think that it might be the regulator from what you guys are suggesting. The problem can occur after a full 2 hours of driving through slow traffic 15-30mph.
I do know that the battery doesn't start charging until you blip the throttle, so this isn't the case.

Oh okay, then it's probably the regulator. Also don't forget to check the condition of the alternator ground wire.
