E30 M3 Horrible rattle at 3000rpm. (archive)

Ive just bought an E30 M3 which Im well impressed with except - theres a horrible vibration aroound the head at about 3000rpm, which totally dispearas about3500 and the engine sounds fine?

Also can anyone reccomend any ggod E30 M3 workshop manuals.
