Just wanted to thank everyone that posted responses to my questions about selector rod seal replacement and rear wheel bearing removal. Seems like I am batting 1000.00 on replacing parts that are a real pain. Both jobs are now complete (thankfully) and I am moving on to the other items on the "yearly rehab" list. In my opinion, this is what this sight is all about, enthusiasts helping enthusiasts. We have cars that are very special in many ways, but require extra TLC and patience. There are times I look at how components in the car are engineered and am in awe of the exceptional engineering that went in to the finished product. However, there are also times it seems the boys in Germany were having a few to many beverages at the Hofbrau before they finalized the drawings for some of the components! Anyhow, thank you for the assistance, first hand experience always helps in doing the job right the first time.
