I used a baseball bat on my friends Jetta when we were in high school. Wrapped a towel around it and put it between the tire and fender and bent the fender lip up. Solved the rubbing problem and looked just fine. Couldn't tell anything had be done

Don't look for arguments, sometimes things are easier than they seem
