First gear is to the left and down, reverse is further to the left and up. Nothing is above first gear, and then 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th are all in a H pattern. It is a close ratio gearbox, first gear is short, and they are found in europe. I'm not sure how easy they are to find here.

The Euro ones did come with a dogleg shift pattern. Those are really awesome.

Did any of the early M3s ever come with 6 spd manual transmissions? In europe or anywhere, or as an aftermarket item.
