Why would you say this transplant would "ruin"
the car? Do you have an E36 engine in an E30 to
say so first hand or are you spouting off your
purist views? :) Hey, no disrepect to large women,
but a fat woman in your passenger seat will upset
handing more than an E36 engine :).

Why ruin the car w/ the E36 engine in it?

Resale will be a much smaller market as many buyers prefer the factory drive train over a modded car like you will be making.

Blah blah Torque. Do a 2.5 bottom end then.

Blah blah horsepower. Do a 2.5 bottom and you will have 225 hp if tuned right.

Blah blah costs. If you cannot afford the car then don't buy it.

These are the three commmon reasons for justifying the E36 option. I have given you three solutions without ruining one of the finest factory cars ever produced.

My $.02
