i've found that dexron III trans oil works great on our gearboxes - no more notchiness & crunching - but a bit pricey though...

I switched to synth oil about 3-4 months ago and now I have a leak from the rear of the bellhousing. If I switch back to normal fluid will it go away? this is not coming from the rear seal so im not sure what seals are in teh front of the gear box? But i know my fluid is low because of its notchyness when cold. im going to put in new fluid tonight or tomorrow so i need to know what way to go?
