I looked at and test drove a lowered car running 18" snitzer rims, 10" at rear (the arches were rolled and flared further out), 9" at front with 245/35 x18 tyres, and they did not foul. I run 16" with 225/45 tyres on 8" BBS split rims and they fouled, until i changed the rear bush of the front lower control arm to a solid offset one, this pushes the front strut forward a bit and gets more clearance. Wheel offset (ET) also plays a part in whether your tyres will foul.Original ET 18 is 30, 17-20 is about right for after market rims, but watch out some foul the caliper!

Hope it helps!
