And of course it has nothing to do with the Porsches having 3.6 liters and the M3 only 3.2 liters. The extra dispolacment is of no value. And the V8 for racing is only 4.0 liters, versus what they could have done (5.0 liter M5 motor).

And it is not like Porsche never raced a car that didn't really meet the homolugation rules, NOT.

And never mind that BMW IS building the V8 M3.

The E30 M3 raced in a class that had a displacement limit that it could hit.

Hey, the E30 M3 is a wonderful car, and was a superb race car, but it also raced in a class where the rules didn't change every couple of races to "make the racing better." Read, make Porsche win.
