Car was non-entusiast owned, had a pretty severe lack of regular maintenance, but the guy sold it to me for book value. Real solid straight car, just needed a good clean/wax, tires, hoses, fluids, etc. Motor was/is really strong. So I paid $8600, and then put in another $5k in work, upgrades, chip, tires, cam gear, airbox, EvoII front lip spoiler, Motorsport brake ducts, pads rotors, all fiulds, valves adjusted, etc. Car is outstanding now. I figure I could get 12-14k for it now, but no way can I see myself parting with it.
