Euro-spec headlight housings will have a different beam pattern compared with the US spec 9006 housing. The euro lights have a much more prominent "beam" while the US lights have more of a flood effect.

All other things being equal (ballasts, bulb type, 4200k vs 6000k) the 9006 should be just as bright as the H1. They may have very different effects once in the headlight housing though.
