With 4wd I expect it to be heavier. More weight combined with less power too = slower. Oh and when you consider the M3 is equipped well to be a good track performer, and the 325ix isn`t then there is no contest. And if he feels he would be quicker because the 4wd will give better grip that isn`t true. It probably would be easier for anyone with no skill to drive on the limit than RWD, and also will have better grip in the wet (or any slippery surface) but thats it.
Sure the ix is a good car, but an M3 beater on track it most certainly isn`t.


A friend of mine is convinced his 4x4 will beat my M3 on the track. Can anyone tell me the stock weight on an 91 M3 compared to a stock 88 iX? I think he's dreaming but I would like to know if anyone has run an iX.
