..classic mods. Modernize: Ditch the AFM (TM), tune intake, and juice up the ignition, synth lubes, heat shielding. Classic: Tune to suit: JC chip and tweaked A/F, E2 Cam and flywheel, Borla, Resonator. See archives for other details.

Runs 5.7s to 60 MPH and low 14 second 1/4 miles from an otherwise stock motor. Doesn't launch that well (or it's me), but a hair faster than an S2000 on the roll. Around a car length 60-90 MPH.

Around 3.2-3.3 seconds for 60-80 MPH in third gear versus 4.6-4.9 seconds stock. I heard that the 60-80 times are faster than an SC'd car still using an AFM. The most but dyno noticeable mod is ditching the AFM as it helps at all revs and throttle openings. Finally torque down low!! It's no E36 conversion but still a hugely noticeable change.

The car does not get up on the cam as much as it gets off of the AFM above 4000 revs.
