and I think I want something slow and boring - no laughing please. I get so pi**ed off with the traffic around now, that I`m not bothered about having anything quick for daily driving anymore, it just must be fit for purpose. Having said that, after looking at the prices of some old 5 series cars, they are definately good value for money.

not exactly, but using that contact you gave me they WILL cover me but they wouldn`t actually give me the quote (not until I get the 2nd car!).
SO right now I am trying to sort out a second car but I`m not sure I can get one before my current policy expires this weekend. Its not easy finding something cheap to buy and run which has good reliability and can cope with 200mile journeys often 8-(
800 doesnt sound too bad especially if its you`re daily driver. Mine is lower than that (by 100) but I do live out in the sticks AND it doesnt specifically cover trackdays although it might do under the "pleasure" part of my policy. My NCB isn`t protected either at present....Privilege.
The best deals seem to be with AON but the deals are for low annual milage second cars. They can cover for trackdays too. My policy expires this coming Sat and I`m hoping to switch to AON if I can get a second car sorted out.
Don`t get an insurance quote through tesco online 8-). I tried them and they told me I`d have to have a tracker device fitted to the car....and even if I did that they still wanted 1400 quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know this was covered a while back but, what was the consenus on the best company for insurance including track day cover. I have my renewal which is £800 ish inc. track day cover, which is a lot but kind of what I expected. Anyone getting a better deal ?
