I need to figure out how to remove my fuse box before next weekend. I have some sort of mysterious stress crack in the sheet metal directly below the fuse box, and I need to have access to it to get it welded. There are 4 main bundles of wires entering the fuse box. 1 comes in on the driver's side of the box, 2 bundles enter the box on the passenger side, and then there's one large bundle entering through the bottom of the box. All of these bundles are very stiff (i.e. I can't just unscrew the box and maneuver it out of my way). How exactly do I get this thing out? I noticed that after you take the lid off the box, there are a few screws that appear to hold a top section of the box to the bottom section. Do I need to undo these screws and pry the two sections of the box apart? Or will this inadvertantly unplug a bunch of wires leaving me with a nightmare of a wiring problem? There has to be some fairly straight forward way of removing the box. Anyone who has any experience with this, PLEASE tell me anything you know. Thanks for any info!

if you are just moving it out of the way.
you just need to remove the screw on the side of the fuse box and pull up to get it out of the bracket. a one more thing don't forget the obvious
remove your batterry cable first.
