all stock M3 came with an oil pan baffle.
the factory design is not as tall to keep oil
on the oil pump side of oil pan specially during
a high spirited driving. On the street you will probably do OK with out upgrade but if you racing or tracking your car my advice is to get the up grade it is a cheap security for the life of your engine. Just talk to the people that race their car with out it. and you will know why it is a must to have.
