Of course the seats have to be ordered (2 weeks) and the leather work has to be done (3 days). The shop I am dealing with has the exact leather specs for all manufacturers and matching is not an issue. He pulled out the BMW factory spec book and showed me a sample of my interior and it is a perfect match. My back seats are in mint condition anyway so uneven front/back wear will not be a factor either. I'd like to go with a 2-tone design or maybe even use some suede, but I'll wait until it's not my daily driver for that ;^)

I assume he already has the seats in stock? If not, and you must order them from RECARO, be prepared to wait.. I had to wait (no joke) over 4 months for my seats to be made and shipped to me.. I did order right before RECARO took up that massive seat contract with Boeing though.. :-(

The good thing about doing leather is that you can very closely (but not perfectly..) match it to the leather of your rear seats and you wont need to redo anything else. A very big savings there.

I think it will look very nice, go for it.
