It's pretty decent. It's not as pretty as a Supersprint center section or the VS&R piece but it works fine. It has the crossover in the right place and is supposed to flow a bit better than the stock unit. The only problem I had was that the heat shields weren't welded on very well and started rattling. It looked like they missed the mark on the spot welds. Hopefully this was only a temporary production problem and I got mine over year ago. If not, it's not that big of a deal...just check them before you put it on the car and have them tacked on a little better if they look a little weak...it would probably take 5 minutes. Midas or somebody would probably charge you 10 bucks.

Buy it here. That's where I got mine. They are $353.95. The place is in Houston, TX and the cats are drop-shipped from CA.

Has anyone here used the DEC brand catalytic converter as sold by Steve D. at Ultimate Garage? Steve drop ships them so has never actually seen one and isn't sure if it has the cross-over "X" pipe (looks more like an "H" to me).

From what he hears it flows pretty good, but still prefers the factory unit at over 3 times the price.

For $550 it's affordable. One of my cats has rattled loose internally and needs to be replaced. Has anyone just repaired their existing pipes with a matched set of cats?

I understand that a single cat back without crossover is a no-no unless one has at least an Evo 2.5L to push the exhaust out hard enough to prevent backdrafts.

Is Mario Langston on this list? His website ( www.vintagesportsracing.com ? ) used to sell an aftermarket cat with dual cats and cross-over. There are pictures. Was it a DEC unit? Is Fillipo on this list? My ///M3 is also painted conspiracy theory Hennarot.

Looking for a catalytic solution - hope to hear from you guys.
