I had the same problem before. Mine was a very, very small pin hole in the fuel line between the firewall and the back of the engine. It would spray a very fine mist of gasoline when the engine was running (didn't spray or leak when engine was off) and took me forever to find. Start your car and start looking for spraying gasoline. Let us know what you find!
