Nice car, I saw it at Auburn. so cleannnn I could eat off it. I never knew that was your car in your signature pic until I looked at the plate and remembered.
Anyway that would be me who bid. I wasnt looking for a deal. Basicly comes out to be the same but I couldnt find a shop selling them. I'm actually creating a massive lighting project for myself.
Talking to dozens of people, they seem to like the cibies better output and tighter beam. Using a 80/100 watt H1 with this lens will create the flamethrower I'm after. Anyway we shall see how it works out for me when its completed.
Much brighter than ellipsoid highs. Lows on the ellipsoids I would say compare to H1/H4 hellas.
I plan on upgrading the wiring, creating custom buckets for an ellipsoid low beam and using HIDs for the lows and high wattage H1 for the pencil beam. Nevertheless I'll expecting calls of UFO sightings coming down remote NW roads at 3am.

Aren't these available as brand new units from Cibie for $70 each? Makes me wonder why someone would bid $150.01 for a pair on eBay, as happened last Friday. And what would you run as lows with these, Cibie whites? Seems odd, as both highs and lows are yellow in France. Anyway, I like my Hellas just fine, Filippo notwithstanding.
