And they're chains still look good when they get them inspected.

I even talked to my BMW mechanic and he has not heard of anyone breaking the chain. He said he's seen more cars wear down with their chains still intact.

Timing belts you've heard of horror stories, alot of them but not many about timing chains. Tensioner on belts need replacement because the belts expand and stretch over time.

The only way I think someone would break their chain is that if they tinker with their engine too much. Some ppl who make mods who don't put things back in prespective.
