If you find that the motor "loads up", gets smokier as you idle, they are not sealing. the lower compression ring does not allways work correctly. The only way to attempt to seat the ring is to use "standard" oil, not a synthetic. Synthetic oils are so slippery that they will not let the rings seat. Even this may not work. you may need to replace the rings, this happened to me once.
