Here's a site to get the scoop on importing. What port will you be bringing it in. I could give you a number for Houston. I am not sure you can bring in a late 80's car. I guess you use the "race car" rule and be exempt of the EPA/DOT regulations. The ones I am bringing in to the US are using the 25 year exemption.
