About a month ago my engine would die every now and then, but then pick up and would be normal, this would only happen maybe once every couple of weeks. Now my engine won't go below 2500rpm, this will only last for about a minute then it goes back to normal.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Check your acellarator cable.The Insulation is prone to braking at the end of the adjusting nut,That could cause it to bind.
