Couple of things you can check...i have the Gen 1 and i assume it could apply to this one.
You gotta make sure you are getting a constant voltage...if it drops below the requirement...it will crank but not start.
Also check all the connecting wires...if one gets loose...that will happen.
This is one of the reasons why i always carry the stock AFM around...incase this happens i just switch it back to prevent getting stranded.
