Who told you the factory head bolts are stretch bolts? If that's true I'm in
trouble every week! I on average have a S-14 or S-88 head off every week. I
have only used the aftermarket head bolt kit 3 times. Those were supplied by
the customers. The factory bolts work great. Provided you follow a few
simple but IMPORTANT steps. Clean the thread holes thoroughly (1/4) can of
brakleen or similar. Chase threads BY HAND with thread chaser or tap. Clean
again, and blow out holes with blowgun. Clean bolts and put together in 1
hand. Pour ANY motor oil over the threads. Shake off excess a few times.
Threads should be wet, NOT dripping!Follow my previous post for torque. I have yet to have any failures.

...without any problems. He claims to have never seen one fail. The small six is a different story, however.

bavarian autosport says that these are stretch bolts and can not be reused but my manual doesn't say anything about it.
Anytime you remove the head of your engine you must use new heabolt, yes the are stretchable
