Have you guys checked to see if the batteries on the Service Indicator board inside in the instrument cluster are still good?

A few years ago, I had a problem with my tachometer working when I first started the car, but then as I drove it, it would sometimes go to 0 and jump back to reading normally, and then just go to 0 again.

Eventually, I just took the old Service Indicator board to a local electronics shop and asked them to remove the old batteries. Then I just installed some new ones myself, and everything has been working fine ever since.
