First, I must say that this web site has been a godsend to me. There is some much information here that it makes working on my beloved German Mistress much easier.
The links and references to other websites are extremely valuable as well. Overall, this information saves a lot of time. As an owner of another rare car, a Triumph TR7, I just wished the internet was available when I was working and maintaining that British Mistress.

Now to the FLAME, I can only wonder about the level of mechanical experience of some of the board posters. I grow weary of these questions, "How do I do this...", or "I did this; how do I take this off...", and "What if I do this to something I have screwed up..." type of questions/posts.

Please buy yourselves some manuals; I personally own four manuals. Chiltons, Mitchell, Haynes (if they can really call that a manual), and the factory BMW manual.

Please before engaging in any type of mechanical repair, please do your research and study up before starting. Use the "Archive Search" tool on this website to look up previous postings; look on other websites, such as Gustaves' or the Koala CD, and others before starting your mechanical adventure. Finally, if you are stumped or need any new information then post on this website.

I enjoy reading about the questions and comments about products or modifications and such, but the innane questions show a lack of preparation. If you decide to try something you are not prepared for, whether it is in experience, tools ,research, or parts, you deserve what you get. I can only scratch my head when I see some of the questions/posts that I see. Let's try to make this site a little more informative and efficient.

Many thanks.
