I was cleaning the M3 today when I started the car and immediately closed the door forgetting that the alarm system automatically locks the doors. The car was running with the keys locked inside! DAMN. Anyway, I got the hood open and pulled the fuel pump relay which kills the engine...1 problem solved. Now i have to figure out how to get the damn keys out! Okay, if I can remove power to the ignition switch without
removing power from the central locking, the

doors will unlock. I only have access to a Bentley right now but i think i found the power wire to the ignition switch and traced it to the fuse box. Problem is there is a square nut in there that is very hard to remove and I certainly don't want to cut this wire and couple it back with a butt connector especially if it doesn't work. I guess I will have to order up a back up set of keys after this is all over. Anyone have any ideas as to what's the best way to get the doors unlocked?...slim j
i had the same problem ,,,,numerous locksmiths tried,,,possibly get keys cut at bmw dealers from chassis number providing, hoping locks havent been changed in the past. i ended up breaking glass,if your going too break a door glass cover it in masking tape too prevent glass damaging paintworkhit hit in a corner with a sharp steel ...takes quite a blow...DONT do as i did no tape no gloves on .hit in middle of glass cutting my hand
