tool to re-install the axles but you shouldn't need it. Just make sure the splines are really clen, in the hub and on the axle half shaft. wire bursh them, blow them out, use some motor oil as a lube and it should slide right in. You did just kill you cv joints by the way. You will need a new nut and washer for the axle.

I just did this on my car.

Any idea on how you get the axle shafts (half-shafts) into the hub assembly? It is a tight fit, and I am not sure how much abuse the axles can withstand. We tried hitting the differential end with a rubber mallet, but that only got it in about half-way. It also flattened the inside end, which I hope is not a problem :-)
