I've heard quite a few accounts of cross drilled rotors cracking outward from the holes. To lend credence to the notion, I'm told that there was a '95 LTW that hit the tire wall (badly) at Mid Ohio last weekend. A rear cross-drilled rotor turned to shrapnel causing quite a few problems. Passenger was banged up a bit, lots of sheetmetal trashed...

I think I'd stay away from cross drilled rotors. James Clay (Bimmerworld) had great prices on Balo rotors (for my ex-E28) a few years back...

Looking into doing a 4 corner rotor replacement. Stock just won't do, and don't want to spend the 2g's for Brembo's, So i'm looking into X-drilled or slotted + pads for street use. Any suggestions? testimonies? I'm leaning toward gas slotted and some good street pads, but your input is welcome. Thanks
