Well you could start fiddling with all sorts of things and buying new parts, but before you do go to someone with a good rolling road and do a CO check through the rev range. That way you should find the culprit without spending a fortune.

Noticing that after a week there is a buildup of soot on the rear bumper from the exhaust. I have searched the archives and saw that some have indivated that a b ad AFM causes this. Can I adjust it? Do I pop the cover and clean the carbon off the track under the sweeping needle? Do I adjust the screw under the "tamper proof" blue plug?

Or bite the bullet and spend $1000 on a Split Second Gen 2 MAF kit!!!! Yeah......
