Take it out and drive it hard as often as possible. I mean rev it hard everyday if you can.
Don't kill it, but get it up to 6K often. Fastest way to kill the S14 is to baby it around every other week and then put it away.
Reving the car will ensure that the cylinders do not ridge down low in the stroke, and then when you decide to work the car, you snap a ring on the ridge when she starts spinning hard at the track.
