Not really. Set it up in windows classic mode and it's like W2K without all the crashes. Integrated CD writing etc. I am not a fan of Billy's bloatware but XP Pro is a fair crack at a desktop OS.

ps Don't use XP Home, now that is shite....use XP Pro.

Really, XP is very hard to work with. Too many wizards and hidden controls.
