if you go agricultural, the plastic nuts will break off before it rips the holes open which will creat a much larger problem. The BMW parts are designed to give way during situations like that.

the ones they send you are fine...when you tighten them the base of the nut actually spreads out creating a lock nut type flange. besides metal ones will add extra weight 8^)

really, the plastic ones work fine

Just received my EVO lip spoiler from UPS, and I have a question, the install kit that comes with it, should I trust those dinky clip and plastic nut combos? My spidey senses are telling me to go to home depot and splurge on some metal lock nuts. Looks like one good kick or parking cement block would tear it right off, what have you guys done to it to make it more secure?
