In Reply to: Why is everyone so ga-ga over Recaro SRD's? posted by oh2fly on June 25, 2002 at 15:18:51:

They look good, feel good, hold good. My old seats needed to be recovered, I was quoted 1G for new leather. So for a little more SRD's were the answer.

I bought cheaper seats (SRD look-a-likes) at first, but I sent them back, they were uncomfortable, and looked cheap. You get what you pay for. People who have no interest in cars and have never heard of Recaro have sat in my seats and I have to listen to them for the next 20 minutes telling me how comfortable they are.

I have always loved Recaro seats and have noticed so many of you installing SRDs. What is the big deal? Price? Weight? What?
