Because some insurance brokers are greedier than others! Basically, when you go into it in detail you find that all policies are actually under-written by a VERY small number of big insurers. Therefore, much of the variation is incurred at the 'broker' level. The most ridiculous quote I got was from Direct Line (who are crap anyway)...I had some ignorant (probably spotty 19 year old...LOL) give me a quote when I got my M3 of 3000/year! Bear in mind he was giving a quote for a 38 year old doctor with a full NCB and put a value on the car of 2500!...LOL What a prick! Now I have it on a classic insurance with an agreed value and a 5000 mile a year limit...but for only 300.
Hi,
I have recently had a renewal quote from my insurance Co master quote ,who from 695 last year decided that because i had'nt made any kind of claim for 8 years to increase my premium to 823.So being a little pissed off i trawled the internet & found that elephant.co.uk offered me the same cover for 509.Why is there such a difference between insurance Co's. How have you found your premiums? I thought 509 was ok.
