I drove Uwe's car a couple of weeks ago and it was definitely a different "feel", it seemed to have more torque down low but was less frantic at the top end.
This was before my re-map, and when I asked the guys at Bexleys about it they felt it was probably due to the later engines having the 48mm throttle bodies.
In general though I think it's fair to say they all feel similar, 200 or 215 it's still a quick car and great fun :-)
Don't flame me here please,
I read an article about M3s in classic car mag and it reconed there was not much in it between 200 and 215 engines (maybe on the track).
I have driven John W car 215 and i could not tell the difference with mine that is 200 but that was driving round the streets.
I recon it's what you use the car for.
Now were are the flame throwers !!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine's done about 96'000 miles and I was getting 198bhp. I've since had the cats removed and a re-map and it's now doing 210.8.
Althought driving it after the work has made it a different car, there is so much more torque since the re-map.
Being a '90 it should have the 215bhp engine, although myself and several other people have found that they never actually achieve this figure standard. Make sure it has the later Evo airbox though.
Don't know about the silver cloth, it's not half-leather is it? (like the Evo 2's have?)
What sort of mileage and price?
Im interested in buying a black e30 m3,1990G, reg no G874 NVF, does anybody know anything about this car? whatpower should it have? also I wanted a car with leather, this one has a silver cloth interior, does anyone have a picture of an interior in this colour? any help is much appreciated,
