There is a casting number on the EVO II head can only been seen using a mirror if I remember correctly. The 215 bhp model (like mine)has the same casting number. I believe the heads are the same.

I have a Cecotto which has the later 215bhp engine, however it is not the same as the Evo 2 engine as it does not have the Evo2 head or the higher compression as I understand it.
I was under the impression that the Cabrios had the later (215bhp) engine as well?

The EVO II tag was to identify the upgraded models issued primarily for racing, obviously. However, most of the features of the EVO II were installed in Cabrios including the engine which was what this thread was relating to. (An obvious exception is the rear wing.) And to that I submitted a pic of an EVO II engine which was installed in a Cabrio but which does not have a white cam cover.
