There are two nuts that hold the gauge to the circuit board. Once contact is lost, the needle will read higher than it should. An intermittent contact will cause the needle to twitch. The same applies to the fuel gauge. Remove the cluster and tighten those suckers.

I think it might be a bad SI board, but is that the only solution to change it out or could it be something else. Thanks for your advice.
