oil leak (archive)

All,
I've got an oil leak. I lost about a quart of oil travelling from Boston to NYC (about 250 mi.). I took a look at the valve cover and the timing chain tensioner (just replaced with the E36), they seem to be dry. I've recently replaced both the upper and lower pan gaskets. I'm going to poke around at the filter housing tonight. Is there anyplace else I should look? I know the rear seal is leaking a bit but if it were leaking that much wouldn't I notice some slippage? Any help would be great. Thanks.
