The interior was improved in MY *1993*, and the car was rebadged as an 850Ci here in the States. Improvements include slightly softer leather, chromed door releases and seatbelt escutcheons on the seats, and flip-down rear seats. The door strike plate trim is also different.

5.0 M70 motor and automatic remained the same from 1991 thru 1995. Getrag stick was dropped in 1994 here in the States.

There's no difference between 1991 and 1992 models other than some *very* minor trim changes in mid-model year.

You can get a decent 1992 850i here in SoCal for less than $25K.
