I am currently driving a 1997 M3/4 and I am considering the purchase of a 1997 840Ci. I have owned a few "sporty" cars in my day and I find myself less and less concerned with acceleration stats and more concerned with cruising comfort. I am looking for feedback on the following....difference in value/performance between 840 and 850? Market value of a 1997 840Ci with 17,000 miles? Anything to look for when buying a used 8 series?
