... I didn't realize that the US auto's also had the 3-prog trans. My friend's '92 didn't, and I guess I took that as a wrote fact. Also, my stupid owner's manual must be from a later year, then. Sorry.

Yeah... the guy in the Vette was pretty surpised. He and I talked a little before and after... he said he had a decent launch, but you never know... maybe his idea of a decent launch involves a lot of ass-squiggle and tire smoke... in which case, it was no surprise. The real question would be... if I could somehow drive both the Vette and my E31 at the same time, would the E31 still pull ahead?

13's... my owner's manual says the automatic (US manual) should be in the 15's. Big disparity... again, going by my experience with the Vette and my friend's low 14 second Integra (bracket racer, Cecil County Dragway, MD), 13's seem to make sense. My friend's teg will run a 14.3 all day long (in fact, it has)... and I will out run him by 1.5 car lenths (0-70mph... 70mph is our chosen "back-off" speed) all day long. So, perhaps he is slopping off track, and I am getting consistently lucky everytime. Until I track the damn thing (which I guess isn't going to happen this millenium) I will never TRULY know. All I can do is benchmark.

I know that my friend's '92 850i (which was stolen last month) REALLY couldn't keep up... he didn't even do as well as my buddy's Integra!

Trust me, I'll admit when I am wrong... unfortunately Wolfgang and I's posts aren't here anymore... I made an ass of myself defending the guy who sold me my car, but toward the end, I owned up to the fact that the guy was a dick, I was a gullible fool, but I was a better man for it (I hope). I will abridge the false information on my site, but if you need any verification of the speed (e.t. @ trap) you're gonna' have to wait 'till Cecil opens in the spring.

If you need any verification of the history, I could give a number of reputable references that have SEEN the car, and have been specifically shown all the dumb little placards, stamps, etc.

Sorry for the confusion about the trans... I honestly didn't know... now I kind of feel like those guys that are selling 840CSi's... actually, I have a conscience, so I suppose I don't feel like them, but at this moment, I do look like them :-(.

Thanks, though!

Justin
