Remember... the car has a little more power than the US version, and a few hundred lbs. can make a lot of differnce... 316hp to 3950lobs is a pretty competitive power to weight when you look at the C5 auto., convertible. Now, I was torque braking at 3000 RPMS with the trans. at M1. I had ASC off and all the windows shut.
Like I said... my friend who bracket races the supercharged 'teg type-r will run 14.3's all day long... and I have consistently been 1.5 cars ahead at 70mph on 7 or 8 different occasions... same launching strategy.
My Eclipse pulls a 15.1 in the 1/4 mile... I know that the BMW is faster. Last time I drove a Vette (auto. coupe), I was pretty disappointed... to each his own, though.
