: Yes, the 4.4l also recieved the five speed steptronic transmision in 1996. This decreased 0-60 times as well.

Interior - nothing, except a A/C got an auto recirc. option (not too useful)
Exterior - nothing
Engine - A little more torque at a lower rpm. Feels a little more powerful.
Transmission - 5spd. steptronic (not a bad toy but not as good as the 6 spd. manual which was available only in Europe)
Alarm system - this was changed to a more sophisticated system at 01/95 so not exactly with the engine change but around at that time. The engine was changed 09/96
