I love both M3 and 8 series (I have an 840Ci) but they are different animals.
About the Viper - Did you see the car inside ? Plastic , plastic , fake leather, and some more plastic. Outside is fantastic but inside looks cheap, so does the engine !
Come on, 450HP out of 8l V-10 engine and a fiberglass body weight less than an M3 ? Of course you can beat the M3 but - for how much ? 79,900USD for the GTS or even more ! And one more important thing - don't try and beat M3's and 850's for long - Vipers are overheating very often ! So once you beat them and you have to stop for a little cool off and then all the Bimmers will beat you ! Sorry that is the truth !
(But I also love the lokk of the Viper just I would never buy one)
