Well,
Mark Fling who undoubtedly knows more about E31's than any two of my mechanics combined suggested I check for leaks around the intake manifolds since this stall sounds like a vacuum leak that occurs before the gasket material is warmed up enough to provide a good seal. However, the few times this has happened to me haven't been limited to cold starts. I'm taking it back to the dealer to look for leaks so that if there is one, they can witness it themselves and get it fixed. However, hearing now that you have this problem too, I might give a call to Dinan about their chips. However, I can't imagine that it could be the chips. Does your car stall like this consistently?

Let me know if you hear anything and I'll keep you posted if I get any answers.

Thanks,
Andrew Wong

PS. How'd you get Jim C. to do the reprogram? Was it during one of those exclusive dyno sessions that have been posted? I called Turners and they said the Jim C. chip wasn't even listed with any sort of expected release date.
